Bariatric Surgery Clinics Antalya Province

The ladies I had supporting me from day 1 were fantastic. Alex answered all my of my [ many] questions, accurately and efficiently with direct contact with my chosen surgeon. Ayse my personal assistant /carer in Antalya, I can not thank enough for everything she did 'over and above the call of duty' I have a severe pain condition so obviously alot of trauma to my system, she held my hand through & reassured me throughout the removal of the drains which is the most painful part of any surgery. Talking of the surgery itself, I had my surgery with Prof Dr E D & his assistant Dr E at medical park hospital they who both spoke English so no excuses regarding communication. The consultation was very brief, after brief introductions. I was told to undress 'to see my body', which was uncomfortable to say the least as there were 4 people in the room at the time! The prof spoke more to his assistant than to me whilst drawing lines on my body. The time taken to explain the actual surgery was minimal, my questions regarding their understanding of the excessive pain from fibromyalgia were met with ' hes a professor he knows all about the condition'. I was reassured my pain would be managed as he had treated patients with fibromyalgia before. I woke from the anaesthetic shaking uncontrollably for several minutes when I finally stopped I was in pain, but certainly bearable. But as the medication from surgery wore off the pain was excruciating no Drs were available and the nurses said they couldn't give me any other pain relief than the IV' fluids which turned out to have only an NSAID and IV paracetamol!!! When I insisted on them contacting the Dr's, a nurse came back with a different sized iv and said it contained a Turkish drug similar to pethidine. I waited and waited but no pain relief. I had to resort to tripling my usual pain medications and hope I didn't over dose!! They did kindly allow me to stay in hospital an extra day to be monitored [tbh I could not have walked out if I tried] but one of the night staff was so unfriendly [I kept reminding her to turn off the bright lights. I can't sleep with lights on]. When I was visited on day 2 I was given all clear to leave then with no notice or explanation the nurse began removing the drains that were literally inside me. I was in total shock & tried to ask them to wait & let me recover I was by then crying in pain, but ignored and I literally screamed when the last ones were pulled out as they felt like a knife was cutting through me ... still shaking with shock I was being dressed in my dressing gown and told we were getting a lift back to the hotel. The Dr's had left and I haven't heard a word from since. Ayse was an absolute star she held my hand and tried to comfort me she looked pretty shaken up too! She personally bought me some drinks to rehydrate and stayed in touch answering my questions day & night. Clinics United were a Wonderful team and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to travel for surgery but please NOTE- Turkey have different rules regarding opiates even in hospitals so if you have a pain condition do your research !!!!

What can I say absolutely excellent care from enquiry to the aftercare and support. Irem the care co ordinator saw the whole process through from the very start . Arrived and was collected from the airport and met in person at the hospital by Irem pre operative tests very through bloods, ultrasound, X-ray, echocardiogram, only then cleared for surgery. Irem was there supporting at every step even escorting me to surgery and was there when I returned to my room. Hospital was spotless and medical staff very competent and skilled. Surgeon was available to answer questions and reassure. Nutrition support ongoing. My experience has been excellent.

I have just arrived home from ANTALYA, I had a breast uplift and breast implants with AYT CLINIC. From the beginning talking with Asli on WhatsApp the experience has been phenomenal. Asli has been so helpful in giving me all the information I need, she has been there every step of the way with me. Transfers from the airport to my hotel, hotel to hospital, and back to the airport, I have been very impressed, always on time, they picked me up exactly when they said they were, lovely drivers too. My hospital stay was also amazing, the staff was very friendly and helpful, their English wasn’t the best but Asli stayed with me and translated for us which was very helpful. All the hospital staff was very happy and took good care of me from the moment I arrived, all through my surgery, and my aftercare. My surgeon Dr Mehmet, wow what an amazing person, he is very very talented, and I am so chuffed with my results. He has given me exactly what I wanted. He listened to me and also gave me his recommendations. He is such a lovely man and has also been there for me every step of the way. He even made a special trip to my hotel on his day off work to remove my drains for me as I was finding them uncomfortable. He is very professional and I would 100% be returning to him in the future if I decide on any more cosmetic procedures I wouldn’t go to anybody else. My follow-up appointment with Dr Mehmet the day before I flew home was very in-depth, I felt so safe and secure and I trusted him 100%. He made me feel at ease from the moment I met him. I am now home back with my children and I’m so happy with my results, Asli has contacted me to check I am okay which is amazing, the aftercare is still amazing even though I am now back home. I will recommend the AYT clinic to all my friends and family, and I will also recommend them on social media websites. Thank you so much to everyone at AYT CLINIC, you are all amazing! 🩷

Dr Mani and the team are amazing, from the driver to the drs. The team speak fluent English and are very efficient. I got the gastric balloon fitted. The clinic is very clean, and the staff is lovely. You are in safe hands, Dr Mani cares about his patients alot, and keeps lines of communication open at all times, checking in with you to see how you are etc. Highly recommend this clinic.

If you are thinking about a gastric sleeve, my advice to you is stop thinking about it and go and see Dr Süleyman. He and Arina are first class from first contact. Please do not have a second thought about going out the country, in my opinion it’s better than the NHS. The staff aren’t anywhere near as stretched and the care is better. The nurses are none stop fussing around you, infact to the point where it might even feel a bit no much to some people. The aftercare is there for ever, they have even asked me to return and seen him when my weight has started to move, you are given a full diet, they even buy your meal to take home, medication to take home until you don’t need to take it any more. I have text Dr Süleyman a few questions and he returns my messages instantly. I was very apprehensive before I went, but now I’ve been I’ll shout from the highest building how good it’s been. 🛑STOP THINKING ABOUT IT AND JUST DO IT. 🛑

What an amazing clinic been to the clinic twice now first for gastric sleeve and this time for plastics. The whole experience has been amazing. All the staff are amazing.

I had revision surgery by Dr Tahir Oruc. I originally wanted a gastric sleeve and knew the surgery was risky and when I had questions he answered them really quickly within 10 minutes of messaging Afef. He was so honest and he wouldn’t take risks with my health which made me feel safe. I had my mini gastric bypass on 6th November and have so far lost a stone. He did say I wouldn’t lose as quickly as a sleeve but would be a steady loss which is good. Afef was a little gem she kept my mum company and we had a couple of nights out prior to us coming back to the UK. I am a midwife in England so am probably more observant of the care given but could not have asked for better care with Dr Tahir. Thank you to everyone who cared for me and my mum. Nothing was too much trouble.
